The Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, Antoine Armand, was the guest of the “4Vs”.
The Barnier government is not far from the exit, the day after another tumultuous day in the National Assembly. The Prime Minister used 49.3 on Monday to have the Social Security budget text adopted without a vote, leading to the tabling of motions of censure by the National Rally and the New Popular Front. Guest of “4V” on Tuesday, December 3, the Minister of the Economy, Antoine Armand, recalled the consequences of an overthrow of the government: “The result would be instability for the country, political, economic and financial.”
The boss of Bercy returned to the attempts at concession concerning the budgetary text between the Prime Minister and the far right during the weekend; while the left accuses the government of having put its future in the hands of Marine Le Pen. “CIt is not naivety to try to find a compromise and to have a spirit of responsibility which consists of pushing the dialogue to the end.”said Antoine Armand. Asked about his personal future within the current or future government, the Minister of the Economy kicked aside, preferring to wait for the outcome of the vote on the first motion of censure which could take place on Wednesday.
