Emergency services were alerted late in the afternoon, Monday December 2. Shortly before 5:30 p.m., an 82-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car on departmental road 153, in Beaumont-Monteux, in Drôme. Despite the intervention of firefighters and a Smur crew, the octogenarian did not survive. According to our information, the octogenarian, originally from Beaumont-Monteux, spent the afternoon playing cards with his friends.
