The accident occurred on the departmental road 48Sunday December 1, 2024, at 11 a.m., at the place called Bel airin the direction of the commune of Crevin, towards Bourg-des-Comptes (Ille-et-Vilaine).
A female driver behind the wheel of a car wanted to overtake a group of cyclists who were in the middle of the race and mowed down from the front a 19-year-old young man from his vehicle, immediately falling off his bike.
The brigade of Guichen gendarmerie intervened to assist the cyclist who was transported to thePontchaillou hospital in Rennes. He complained about back pain but was not injured and the driver only punctured her right front tire.
