In addition to the Matfer-Bourgeat group's factory store, open every day, from Monday to Saturday, an annual clearance sale is organized, each time attracting a crowd eager to score great deals.
The 2024 edition was held Friday December 29 and Saturday December 30. With several thousand people, we jostled in the aisles and at the checkouts.
“This year, customers arrived early, there were a lot of people at the opening, notes Luc Van Ryssel, director of the site. It's the only clearance sale of the year now, but with more offers and products with extended opening hours. People have been coming for more than ten years, it's an opportunity for them to get good deals and it's a moment of sharing for them and for us.

Everything had been carefully planned to contain the crowds, and the parking service made it possible to properly manage the flow of vehicles on the Matfer Industries site. Staff were also there to inform customers and guide them in each department to find pots, pans, molds or pots for metal items; to which we must add hundreds of references in earth, glass or plastic materials.

They also supported customers by transporting the largest purchases to the vehicles. During this period of preparation for the holidays, the public was also able to purchase items for decoration and tableware. There was no shortage of gift ideas.
Professionals and individuals
In the aisles, with a cart already full, Jacqueline and Bernard say: A friend comes to this sale every year and told us about it. We have a restaurant in Eure and we have filled our cart. We let ourselves be tempted by a lot of things.

Anne, who runs the Anne location brand, in La Fontaine-Simon (Eure-et-Loir) which rents tableware for all receptions, explains: We have just purchased several boxes of glasses to change our stock. We come to each clearance sale to renew some of our equipment.

Every year, the chefs from Perche gastronomy take part in the clearance sale to delight visitors with their little dishes. Unfortunately, due to health issues, they were unable to come this year.
