The Connexion Freyming-Merlebach tourist office is launching its end-of-year activities, with several new features, and has opened its Christmas counter. “Most of the products carry the Mosl quality label,” explains the director, Véronique Becker. With in particular Christmas baubles from the Lehrer crystal factory in Garrebourg, and this year, a model in the shape of a tree. But also bottles with LED lamps, either finely decorated with snowflakes or leaves, therefore more timeless. “We also find local, local or regional products, such as biscuits from Cacopardo, the characters, more particularly the elves from wood turner Serge Vagné, or even the decorations from Ferfolie, from Puttelange-aux-Lacs. »And also the very popular puzzles, representing Hoste and its ponds, Old Hombourg, the Barrois quarry… “They generally make a thousand pieces, and are aimed more at adults,” confides Véronique Becker.

“This year, we decided to offer a new model, more accessible to children, with nearly 200 pieces. » To achieve it, if it is always Alizé Group, based on the technology park, which is called upon. Activities focused on nature and crafts

The workshops will take place on 1is and December 15, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. upon registration at the tourist office. With Herbaetum and Morgane, several sessions will be devoted to plants and their virtues, to, for example, relieve winter ailments.

Stories in schools

At the same time, Sarah Schwartz will put on her storyteller costume throughout the month of December, with the ambition of touring the schools in the community of municipalities. “All schools that wish it, nursery and primary schools, can contact me,” she explains. Some dates have already been set. “It’s an activity offered by the tourist office and I will offer old, traditional tales, or even my own tales,” announces Sarah. With a particularity: “I don’t come with a book, just to read, I will truly be a storyteller”. A passion for the young woman, who likes to share it with as many people as possible.
