If this choice is validated by parliamentarians, he will take office in February and will notably have to manage the sensitive issue of the allocation of DTT frequencies.

Soon a new boss for the audiovisual policeman. Three months before a major shake-up of TNT, the Élysée proposed, Thursday, November 28, the senior civil servant Martin Ajdari, current deputy general director of the Paris Opera, to chair Arcom from February. Among sensitive subjects, he will have to manage the reallocation of television frequencies, notably contested by C8.
If his name is validated by the National Assembly and the Senate, Martin Ajdari will replace Roch-Olivier Maistre, who must leave office on February 2, 2025. Aged 55, he has held leading positions in several cultural institutions and in audiovisual media.
Arcom (formerly CSA) is notably responsible for allocating frequencies assigned to audiovisual broadcasting, guaranteeing pluralism on air and supervising compliance with the obligations of online platforms established in France. Martin Ajdari will inherit a greatly expanded scope after the merger in 2022 of the CSA and Hadopi (anti-piracy agency), including streaming platforms and social networks.
