Discover the Made In France Fair in Tarbes: artisans, creators and chefs celebrate local crafts and Bigourdian gastronomy.
At a time when globalization, Mercosur and international trade are at the heart of French discussions (and finances), Tarbes has decided to promote local and French know-how. For the first time, the Tarbes Exhibition Center is organizing its Made In France Show. Throughout the weekend, artisans, producers, professionals who create, manufacture and employ in France are gathered in the different halls of the exhibition center.
Different worlds will be offered for professionals and the general public. While low-cost fashion encourages you to take a 1 euro T-shirt by plane and then by truck to arrive from Asia to your home, fashion designers will come together to show you clothes and quality accessories that will stand the test of time. Titanium jewelry, unique bags, Pyrenees wool accessories, vintage or streetwear made here or in France… there will be something for everyone.
In the same way, you will meet craftsmen, well-being professionals, but also business creators and entrepreneurs who invest their ideas, their energy and their money in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
Tarbes at the table, first!
This Made In France Show will also be an opportunity to highlight Bigourdian gastronomy. For the occasion, six Bigourdan chefs got into the kitchen to concoct two menus (a classic and a vegetarian) in local colors, through their association “Toques & Saveurs de Bigorre”.
You can taste a gravlax of Pyrenees trout with beetroot, a quasi-veal smoked in hay. Or Tarbes beans in vinaigrette and fresh Gemani pasta (made in Tarbes) accompanied by candied butternut and old Comté cheese. And for everyone, a dessert in the form of a Pyrenees chestnut cake accompanied by its chocolate cream and clementine gel.
