An opening by 2030?
Another point of vigilance around the project: environmental protection. Beyond its historical importance, the plateau is also a “green lung” for the surrounding inhabitants, an aspect on which Delphine Lingemann is very vigilant. Another question remains unanswered: how to connect the existing museum and the future space? Two years ago, Laurent Wauquiez mentioned the idea of a cable car. However, Pascal Pigot indicates that nothing has been decided yet : “We are not going to bring up a rack railway like for the Puy de Dôme, yes a cable car is on the table, but it could very well be electric shuttles, everything is open! In any case, the State is very careful about these questions…“
The State, in fact, recently expressed its support for the project. During an intervention in the National Assembly, the Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, confirmed this commitment.
As for the opening, the Region and Pascal Pigot are planning a launch by 2029-2030. To be continued…
