Sarkozy, deficiency, shock of knowledge
The demands of the teaching staff are multiple.
The unions explain that the government, by “dodging the real reasons for the budgetary slippage, is targeting civil service personnel:
- establishment of a three-day waiting period based on false arguments and alleged equality with the private sector
- 10% reduction in remuneration for staff forced to be placed on sick leave
- removal of GIPA
- meager but real relief net in the face of the consequences of inflation on purchasing power
- continuation of freezing of the index point value
- massive job cuts.”
They demand, in response to these decisions:
- “zero days of waiting and maintenance of 100% of salary in the event of illness
- the revaluation of the index point and careers through general measures
- the payment of GIPA in 2024
- job creations that meet needs, making it possible to improve working conditions and restore the means to the public service to carry out its missions of general interest.
The unions also denounce “the contempt that public service agents suffer”.
