Bourges FC (Women's D3) will face Stade Rennais (R2) in the first federal round of the Coupe de France, the draw for which was made this Wednesday noon, at the FFF headquarters in Paris.
Resident of Women's Division 3, Bourges FC is the last representative of Cher still in contention in the Coupe de France after having eliminated Saint-Jean-de Braye (forfeit of Loirétaines) in the third round, then the Euréliennes of Cloyes-Droué (R2, 0-12) this weekend during the fourth round.
“Released, delivered”… Bourges FC striker Edwin Maanane returned to competition after two years without playing
Placed in group E (the teams were divided into five groups of sixteen), the Berruyères could have faced two Second League (D2) teams, which were entering the competition: Le Mans and Saint-Malo. This will not be the case, since the two teams will face each other.
In an R2 team
Bourges FC will have to travel to Brittany on November 24, to challenge Stade Rennais, residents of Regional 2 who have had a faultless start to the season in their championship (3 victories in as many days, 15 goals scored, 0 conceded) .
In the event of qualification, Sandrine Jacquet's players would face in the second federal round (December 15) the winner of the duel between Tours FC and Quimper Kerfeunteun, two teams playing in R1.
