Max Verstappen is looking to bounce back from a disappointing result caused by his collision with Lando Norris. Red Bull will have a special livery this weekend, unveiled on Wednesday, and he will be hoping to shine at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
“This is another home race for the team so we want everyone to be proud of the factory this weekend. Austria wasn’t the result we were hoping for and there are a lot of things to take away from the race that myself and the team can really analyse and improve on.” Verstappen said.
“We made some mistakes that cost us dearly, but you also have to look at the good moments we had throughout the weekend, including the Sprint win and the two pole positions.”
“We’re looking at what we did well and what we didn’t. It’s the last race of a very busy triple-header, so we want to come back strong at Silverstone.”
“It will be a special race, with a new livery on the car. We want to come back stronger and we are ready for the weekend at Silverstone, especially as it is the 20th year of the team, which marks a celebration for us.”
Perez wants to find rhythm at Silverstone
Sergio Perez had another disastrous weekend in Austria, with a qualifying time nine tenths of a second behind Verstappen, and a very slow race due to damage he caused when he hit Oscar Piastri on the first lap.
“Austria was very disappointing, the performance was affected from the start due to significant damage, which compromised my race. It was not an ideal weekend.”
“We had made good improvements between Saturday and Sunday, so it was frustrating not to be able to see that on track. We have been working to analyse things, to make sure we have the pace at Silverstone, throughout the weekend.”
“For the team’s 20th year in the sport, the British GP will be a special race for all of us, as we are so close to the factory and the homes of everyone who works and contributes to Red Bull Racing and our incredible success.”
