Two Sisters connects several generations of women, between France and Vietnam. An intimate and historical epic about the quest for origins, the silences of family memory and the great History.
Océane Mozas, actress and director, and Marine Bachelot Nguyen, author, share similar personal stories, forged in exile. The play is inspired by the author’s trip to Vietnam with her mother, who went to find an aunt from whom she had been separated for decades. In the shadow of the Trung sisters, warrior heroines from the beginning of our era, the story is both an investigation into roots and a tale. Punctuated by the actress’s own memories, it is served by a performance full of modesty and delicacy.
