This PLU3, an essential urban planning document which determines the conditions for development and land use on a metropolitan scale, now includes its 95 municipalities.

Son ambition : resolve the equation between balanced development of the territory meeting the needs of Metropolitan residents (in terms of housing, economic activity, transport, nature) and the challenges of energy and environmental transition, preservation of water resources and sustainability of the territory’s agricultural resources.

For example, the PLU3 allows for the creation of 62,000 new homes in the coming years, the development of new high-level tram and bus lines. It also includes measures to protect many natural areas and allows for the development of the use of renewable energy and thermal insulation of buildings.

This step follows the administrative consultation, the collection of opinions from the municipalities and a public inquiry.
