Aspiring MPs had until Tuesday, July 2, 2024, 6 p.m., to submit their candidacy for the second round of early legislative elections. We therefore know the official list of candidates who hope to convince the voters of Gironde this Sunday, July 7, 2024.

First constituency

  • Thomas Cazenave / Alexandra Martin (Renaissance (Ensemble))
  • Céline Papin / Tanguy Dassonville (The Ecologists (New Popular Front))
  • Bruno Paluteau / Coralie Morel (National Rally)

The Minister Delegate for Public Accounts, Thomas Cazenave, managed to convince the voters in his constituency in the first round (38.31%). This is also the only constituency of Gironde who put a candidate from the presidential majority in the lead in the first round. He will face Céline Papin (coming 2nd with 34.23%) and Bruno Paluteau (3rd with 21%). If eyes were already fixed on the first constituency of Gironde, they will know it all the more in the second round.

Second constituency

  • Nicolas Thierry / Florence Guery (The Ecologists (New Popular Front))
  • Veronique Juramy / Catherine Fabre (Renaissance (Ensemble))

It is one of the only constituencies in Gironde where only two candidates qualified for the second round. And especially the only one where the RN candidate did not reach the second round. The outgoing deputy Nicolas Thierry almost got elected in the first round with 49.45% of the vote. The candidate of the presidential majority, Véronique Juramy, obtained 29.08% of the vote.

Third constituency

  • Loïc Prud’homme / Marlène Tchikaya (LFI (New Popular Front))
  • Ariane Ary / Sébastien Kerebel (Modem (Ensemble))
  • Maryvonne Bastères / Serge Labrousse (RN)

He too, touched the qualification in the first round with his fingertips. outgoing MP Loïc Prud’homme convinced 49.83% of voters last Sunday, ahead of Ariane Ary of the presidential majority (27.25%) and Maryvonne Bastères of the National Rally (19.56).

Fourth constituency

  • Alain David / Nordine Guendez (Socialist Party (New Popular Front))
  • Julie Rechagneux / Serge Bluge (RN)

The deputy outgoing Alain David (42.36% in the first round) will face Julie Rechagneux (32.37% last Sunday) in the second constituency to have qualified only two candidates for the second round.

Fifth district

  • Gregory of Fournas / Philippe Chagniat (RN)
  • Pascale Got / Véronique Ferreira (PS / New Popular Front)

The outgoing MP Grégoire de Fournas (42.32% in the first round) will face the candidate of the New Popular Front, the former socialist MP Pascale Got (31.79%). Stéphane Sence, candidate Ensemble (18.59%), withdrew for to block the far right.

Sixth constituency

  • Marie Recalde / Stéphane Delpeyrat-Vincent (PS (New Popular Front))
  • Eric Poulliat / Maria Iacob (Renaissance (Ensemble))
  • Jimmy Bourlieux / Jacques Colombier (RN)

The candidate of left Marie Recalde qualified with 35.24% of the votes, ahead of the outgoing deputy Eric Poulliat (32.78%) and Jimmy Bourlieux of the RN (27.07%).

Seventh constituency

  • Sébastien Saint-Pasteur / Marie-Laure Cuvelier (PS (New Popular Front))
  • Bérangère Couillard / Frédéric Zgainski (Renaissance / Ensemble)
  • Clemence Naveys-Dumas / Maxence Castagnede (RN)

The socialist Sébastien Saint-Pasteur came out on top in the first round (38.50%) ahead of outgoing MP Bérangère Couillard (33.12%) and Clémence Naveys-Dumas (22.43%).

Eighth constituency

  • Laurent Lamara / Jean-Pierre Vaillant (RN)
  • Sophie Panonacle / Loïc Ballongue (Renaissance (Ensemble))

In the Bassin, a highly contested constituency, the National Rally almost doubled its scores by obtaining 36.83% of the votes on Sunday. The outgoing MP Sophie Panonacle obtained 31.75%. Marylène Faure of the New Popular Front, who came third, withdrew her candidacy and called to vote for Sophie Panonacle.

Ninth constituency

  • François-Xavier Marques / Axel Robillard (RN)
  • Sophie Mette / Francis Gazeau (Modem (Ensemble))

François-Xavier Marques of the National Rally won 38.54% of the vote in the first round, ahead of the presidential majority represented by Sophie Mette (30.03%). Corinne Martinez, candidate of the Union of the Left, withdrew her candidacy and called to vote for Sophie Mette.

Tenth constituency

  • Sandrine Chadourne / Richard Thibaud (RN)
  • Florent Boudié / Marie-Sophie Bernardeau (Renaissance (Ensemble))

Sandrine Chadourne (RN) qualified with 43.80% of the vote ahead of Florent Boudié (Ensemble) with 29.96%. The candidate of the New Popular Front, the ecologist Pascal Bourgois, gave up on going to the second round and called to vote “without ambiguity” for Florent Boudié.

Eleventh constituency

No second round for the Blayais constituency, the outgoing MP Edwige Diaz was re-elected in the first round. The vice-president of the National Rally obtained 53.33% of the votes.

Twelfth constituency

  • Rémy Berthonneau / Thomas Foucart (RN)
  • Mathilde Feld / Lionel Chollon (LFI (New Popular Front))

Rémy Berthonneau (RN) will face Mathilde Feld in the second round. The far-right candidate obtained 38.41% of the votes in the first round, while the candidate of the left union convinced 28.85% of the voters.

Pascal Lavergne, the outgoing majority MP, qualified with 27.62% of the vote. He announced his withdrawal shortly after the results but did not not given voting instructions.
