A former manager of a Ligue 1 Center!

Author of 341 professional matches from 1998 to 2007 with the Greens and captain on many occasions, Julien Sablé did not only leave his mark on ASSE as a player. The former midfielder subsequently had responsibilities at the training level and was assistant coach (to Gasset, Printant, Puel and Dupraz) and interim coach of the professional group.

In 2022, he left Forez and declared: “ It is time for me to leave ASSE to take on new challenges. I thank the club, all the employees and the supporters without whom I would not be the coach I have become. I am leaving the club in good hands. I will enjoy supporting the Greens, hoping to see them quickly regain their place at the top of French football.. »

Director of the Nice Training Center

Since then, Julien Sablé has flourished at Nice. He has just been appointed to a new position. Excerpt from the OGC Nice press release: “Julien Sablé, the former captain of Gym, who officiated in the professional staff of Nice, is appointed Director of the Training Center. He takes the role held until now by Manuel Pirès whom the Club would like to thank for his many years and his involvement with the young shoots of the Côte d’Azur.

A mission that Julien Sablé talks about with ambition: “We must develop the culture of performance and be more than ever an asset for the club, with the desire to support our players in training towards the Allianz Riviera and the top level”. Returning to the club in December 2022, the former Gym midfielder (102 matches played between 2009 and 2012) is now returning to training, a sector he knows very well, since he had managed, in addition to the first team, different categories of youth at AS St-Etienne, then the Centre des Verts. Since he returned to Comté, Sablé has been at the head of the reserve team, then assistant coach to Didier Digard and Francesco Farioli.
