A social center symbolically closed, Christian Paul welcomed by Justine Guyot… The latest news from the legislative elections in Nièvre

The campaign between the two rounds began in Nièvre, with public meetings and symbolic actions.

A symbolically closed social center

The Pouilly-sur-Loire social center will keep its doors closed on Wednesday, July 3, in a gesture aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of the National Rally coming to power. No leisure center, no telephone reception, no reception for seniors… The employees will simply ensure continuity of service for home nursing care.

Patrice Perrot as a moved observer

Outgoing MP for the second constituency, Patrice Perrot (Ensemble) was unable to run again for health reasons. “I am experiencing this campaign, as an observer, with great emotion. Especially seeing the score in the second constituency, where I bear some responsibility. We probably did not explain our work enough. Sandra Germain had little time to campaign, she made a painful decision by withdrawing, but, with the RN on the verge of power, it was necessary. I would have acted in the same way in her place, without any ambiguity. If Christian Paul wins, which I hope, he will not have to act as he did during François Hollande’s term, when he posed as a rebel. I reminded him of that. I encourage all abstainers to block the RN’s path, in the name of republican values. It is not too late to block it.”
