As part of the cooperation across the Lorient-Quimperlé region and in order to implement a first strong action in favor of mobility, Lorient agglomeration and Blavet Bellevue Océan (BBO) community have set up a new Izilo Mobilités bus stop near the Porzo business park in Kervignac. This is the only stop on the Lorient agglomeration IziLo Mobilités network outside one of the 25 municipalities in its territory.

Ligne 34

“This new bus station is located on the route of line 34, close to the Porzo business park, which is home to major employers such as Cité Marine and has nearly 1,500 employees, and the carpooling area located along the RN165,” emphasizes Marias Colas, vice-president of Lorient agglo. “The municipality carried out the roadworks and safety work at the stop, at a cost of €25,000,” adds Élodie Le Floch, mayor of Kervignac, while BBO communauté finances the additional operating costs related to the implementation of this additional stop, estimated at €5,564 per year.

Five municipalities served by the special beach shuttle

Furthermore, during the summer period, BBO is relaunching the beach bus operation, a shuttle that serves the five municipalities, as well as the small Linès shuttle. “This public transport service, to the beaches of Magouëro and Linès, in Plouhinec, also allows you to go to the pier in Gâvres, in order to take the water bus to Port-Louis-Locmalo, in partnership with Lorient agglomération, then Lorient”, explains Sophie Le Chat, president of BBO. The total operating cost amounts to €19,000, financed by Lorient agglomération to the tune of €4,000, as well as the Brittany Region and the Morbihan Department for securing the Gâvres road. This summer, a survey will be conducted among users to determine their satisfaction and make improvements.
