Since May 2024, the activity of the association of the Pays d'art et d'histoire Mende et Lot en Gévaudan (PAH) has been transferred to the Cœur de Lozère community of communes. The twenty-eight member municipalities of the Country of Art and History are now grouped within a steering committee supported by the community of municipalities. We must formalize this transfer of ownership and continue the work undertaken for almost 20 years now.
Cultural or historical events
For this, the mayors of the twenty-eight municipalities met at the Gévaudan museum to sign the new agreement. This agreement specifies the extension of scope. Indeed, the PAH now extends from the commune of Salelles, in the Lot valley, to Malons-et-Elze, in the Gard, via the community of communes of Mont-Lozère.
Each of these municipalities benefits throughout the year from cultural or historical activities offered by the PAH. This meeting allowed each mayor to sign the agreement with the State, to obtain the PAH label, as well as the partnership agreement between the Cœur de Lozère community of municipalities and the other member municipalities of the Pays d'art et d'art. history.
Laurent Suau, president of the Coeur de Lozère community of communes, clarified: “we do everything we can in partnership with the State to promote and promote heritage, with a priority of introducing young people to architecture and heritage, through the educational service.“
