Patrice Lamer, 42, was arrested by the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) after four warrants were issued against him. He is believed to be involved in about twenty cases to date.

According to SPAL, Mr. Lamer would go to his victims’ homes to offer his services to do asphalt work on their residential driveway. He claimed to work for a company called Gestion Multi Pro.

He then demanded cash deposits ranging from $450 to $3,700. According to the police, in some cases the work was partially completed, while in others it was never undertaken.

In addition to his paving services, Mr. Lamer also began offering his victims painting, balcony repair and paving work.

The first victims, who were in Brossard and Longueuil, contacted the SPAL themselves. As the investigation progressed, other victims came forward.

SPAL invites anyone who believes they have been a victim of this fraudster to contact them by calling 450-463-7211.
