PSL takes two victories

The Lévis Pro Style Lettrage (PSL) was back in action on June 28 at Dekhockey Lévis for a doubleheader against Dek Bouch’s Gold & Blue. The Lévis representatives of the National Ball Hockey League (LNHB) got their hands on two new wins.

First, during the first of the two games, it was the visitors who quickly took the lead, but Philipe Giroux and Cédric Paré responded to make it 2-1. During the middle period, the Lévis team continued its momentum, as William Dion and Philipe Giroux scored in quick succession, before seeing the Gold & Blue bring the score back to two goals.

In the third period, despite three goals from the visitors, the PSL resisted thanks to goals from Philipe Giroux and William Dion, which allowed his team to win 6 to 5. Note the performance of goaltender, Émile Samson, who stopped 43 of the 48 pucks aimed at him.

An offensive part

After a tight first encounter, a completely different scenario awaited both teams for the second part of the evening. Indeed, Lévis came out strong in the first period, leading 5 to 2 after the latter, thanks to goals from Hugo Roy, Justin Bernier (2), Cédric Paré and William Dion.

Continuing their momentum, Cédric Paré (2), Félix Larose and Philipe Giroux all scored in the second period to give the PSL a 9-3 lead. Then, in the third period, Philipe Giroux and Samuel Mathieu-Cloutier both scored to allow Lévis to win 11-4.

With these two victories, the PSL is in second place in the LNHB general standings with a total of 29 points in 12 games. Note, however, that the team has played two fewer games than Assurancia Venne et fille de Joliette, which sits atop the standings.

The PSL will be back in action on July 5 in Victoriaville, when they will face the Lynx.
