The Christophe’Hair hair salon, located in the Chartreuse area of Castres, was the target of a burglary on the night of June 30 to July 1. The damage suffered was estimated at at least €20,000.

Christophe Moulet, the manager of the hair salon, Christophe’Hair, in Castres, tries to put things into perspective. Fortunately, he will not be forced to activate technical unemployment in his shop, which was the victim of a car-ramming attack, on the night of Sunday to Monday, in the Chartreuse area. The criminals, who struck around 12:15 a.m. at the wheel of a white Peugeot 206, then around 4 a.m., took a large number of products, including GHD® hair dryers and straighteners, as well as cosmetics and perfumes. The damage is estimated at €5,000 for the loot and at least €15,000 for material damage. This is not the first time that the salon has been targeted by burglars. The last incidents date back to 2021, in the middle of the health crisis. “The first time, they came through the front door. We had put in extra security. There they went on the sides, we will also reinforce them. Next time, they will perhaps go through the roof. Unless we do like at the Bank of France… in any case they will succeed,” laments Christophe Moulet who was able to restart his business, this Tuesday July 2 in the morning. A complaint was filed at the Castres police station. The police investigation is continuing. Several other acts are said to have been committed in the area. According to our information, the individuals present at the time of the events have been identified. They are said to be known to the services and belong to the traveling community.
