Coudray, Boucaud, Cécé and Yangué left Bigorre and the first known recruit was a Bigourdan, from the Ossun club, Pierre Hourné-Raubet who played at TOAC (N2).

It has now been a month since the Union Tarbes-Lourdes season ended. And so we are waiting for information regarding the composition of the team that will be coached by Stéphane Dao next season. At least we are sure of that since the president Didier Yedra had announced it himself. Stéphane Dao had for his part let it be understood that the group would not be completely reshuffled.

Coudray to Feurs

So who will stay and who will go?

On the leader side, Marius Chambre has imposed his personality within a group that he is happy to pull upwards. Tom Wiscart Goetz is still uncertain about his future, but we know that he loves Bigorre.

Brian Coudray, for his part, will seek to increase his playing time and it will not be here. It is a shame that his injury at the start of the season interrupted his momentum, because he was off to a good start. But he has now regained all of his strength and will make another team happy, probably in his native region, not far from Lyon, probably in Feurs.

Boucaud in Pro B, Cécé in Avignon?

Another departure, but a little more surprising, that of captain Jonathan Boucaud, valuable in his long-range shooting and his experience. It is another club that will benefit from it, and not just any club since it is Hyères-Toulon which now plays in Pro B.

Fabien Ateba, who arrived during the year, quickly showed all his qualities and his regularity. He will continue to delight the Union supporters.

On the side again, but closer to the racket, Nelson Cécé unfortunately suffered from stiff competition, with Niels Pharose, Mo Queta and Jules Leroux, revelation of the year, who shared positions 3 and 4.

Nelson Cécé has lost playing time, despite convincing performances, but he will try, with success we have no doubt, to impose himself under other colours, perhaps on the side of Avignon… Niels Pharose, for his part, has not made any decision on his future at the Union or elsewhere. But “elsewhere” does not seem to suit him.

Badiane remains

We come to the position of the “big ones”.

Tidiane Badiane will still fight for the Union in the racket, because Stéphane Dao counts on his great physical qualities, to which he will have to add a little more technique, lucidity. He also has the advantage of having the status of Jiff, which adds some facilities for the recruitment of foreigners.

Because it will be necessary to replace Franck Yangué, the Cameroonian, a fine athlete who knows how to be efficient but who is leaving Tarbes-Lourdes.

That makes four departures, to which must be added that of Raydon Atipa for whom the time has come to assert himself at national level.

An Ossunois at the helm

Stéphane Dao and the Bigourdan team staff should not delay in revealing who will replace the starters.

The first known recruit is a Bigourdan, from the Ossun club like his father, Thierry Hourné. The young leader Pierre Hourné-Raubet comes, at 19 years old, to take another step forward at the Union, after three seasons spent at TOAC, in the U18s and in NM2.

An American winger and a pivot that Stéphane Dao has on his tablets should arrive. The Union coach has his networks, knows what game plan he wants to implement. And knows the means at his disposal. So, we will know everything soon…

Union squad update

The uncertain ones: Tom Wiscart Goetz, Niels Pharose.

The starters: Bryan Coudray, Jonathan Boucaud, Nelson Cécé, Franck Yangué

The recruits: Pierre Hourné-Raubet, an American (?), a pivot (?).
