National Day in Malakoff (92): Fireworks, concerts and popular ball on July 13, 2024

This year, the city of Malakoff celebrates the National Day on July 13, 2024 with the traditional fireworks display, concerts and a popular ball!

This year, the city of Malakoff is celebrating the 2024 National Day in style! But like many towns in the Ile-de-France region, the city in Hauts-de-Seine has chosen not to celebrate on D-Day but the day before. Don’t get the date wrong! So head to Malakoff July 13, 2024 for a big program of festivities!

On the program? A rock aperitif, concerts on the town hall square, the traditional fireworks, and of course a ball popular to dance until the end of the night, with friends or family; all freeas usual !

Please note that after the fireworks and the ball, the City of Malakoff is setting up a service free shuttlesfrom 11pm to 1am, to return to the Barbusse, Stalingrad and Valette districts! Departure from 25, rue Béranger. Want to discover the detailed program? It’s here!

Detailed program :

18H30 – APRIL ROCK : Sip a 100% rock musical aperitif, concocted with the complicity of the local traders! To the sound of the Clash, AC-DC, Shaka or the Stones, sit down to have a drink, savor some treats or enjoy an ice cream!

Several options are available to you for the aperitif:

  • On the terrace of one of the café partners of the festival: Brasserie de la Place, Brasserie L’Hirondelle, Brasserie de l’Hôtel de ville, L’Herbe Rouge, Le French Café.
  • At the Martinez ice cream parlor: Looking for something fresh? Martinez ice creams and sorbets will delight you at a tiny price!
  • At the Rocky Bar: Under the market hall, Asiam, Ségou and Tréso offer a stand selling drinks, savory delicacies and mezze plates.
  • At Johnny Be Gaufres: Those with a sweet tooth will not miss the pancakes, crepes and waffles from this traveling creperie.

20H – CONCERT DE SOCIAL DANCE : Faustine, Thomas and Ange, aka Social dance, live and compose their music together. Experienced on stage, this pop-rock trio from Marseille is a hit at festivals, fully embracing eclectic influences (Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem or Rita Mitsouko!).

21H : CONCERT DE JOHNNIE CARWASH : Plug in the guitars, 1, 2, 3… Go! Prepare to be electrified by the high-energy buffs of Johnnie Carwash – aka Manon, Bastien and Maxime – whose garage-style rock, which seems to run on live energy, is played flat out. Straight from Lyon, this guitar/bass/drums trio has made it onto the highly sought-after 2024 short list of the 50 best French bands, according to Rock n’Folk magazine.

11:00 PM – FIREWORKS: Fired from the town hall square, the fireworks will light up the sky to a rock soundtrack, to stay on theme!

23H15 – PLACE AU BAL : The Midnite Trippers, a group of conservatory teachers, will play a repertoire that promises to get young and old alike on the dance floor.
