The new fleet of electrically assisted Vélopop’ replaces the first generation of bicyclesput into service in 2009. The new models are distributed across the three cities in the 29 dedicated stations equipped with electric charging and referenced on a smartphone application.

The easy-to-access interface allows each user, having created an account, to tfind a bike nearby and reserve it in just a few clicks. This same tool unlocks the bike and thanks to a GPS the user can be guided to their destination. It is also on the app that you choose your plan, free access or subscription. You can even manage your Orizo transport card, a possible key to accessing the Vélopop’ service.

The old bicycle park offered to associations

This renewal is part of the Greater Avignon action plan to promote soft mobility. Moreover, with the announcement of the future creation of a high-level service cycle network that would serve all the municipalities of Greater Avignon, we can assume that the Vélopop’ adventure is only just beginning on the roads of the urban community.

Please note that the mechanical bicycles removed from the system were offered by the Grand Avignon urban community to various associations in the sector.

Packages and prices: free access, 30 mins at €0.50 then €0.10 per additional min. Monthly subscription at €10 or annual subscription at €30 for unlimited journeys of up to 30 mins.
