A CME divided into 3 workshopsat the rate of 4 Wednesday afternoons. Among the workshops offered, we can mention the one dedicated to the environment with the creation of a booklet to familiarize yourself with the wild herbs of our cityin partnership with the Green Spaces department.

It is also an opportunity to look back on the events that marked their mandate, such as the participation in the ceremony of wishes to the constituted bodies on January 18, 2024.

In addition to the meetings, 2 citizen events were offered: a first with a meeting with the Society of Members of the Legion of Honor on May 29, and a second with a visit to the fire station on June 12.

During several meetings, the children of the Children’s Municipal Council decided to propose to the Municipal Council a deliberation on securing pedestrian crossings near Chalon schools. After a meeting with the technical services, The Municipal Council of the City of Chalon-sur-Saône unanimously voted for this resolution on April 10, 2024.

If their term ends this Wednesday, our young elected officials can apply for the 10th term of the Youth Municipal Council. If they are currently in CM1 and that they move on to CM2, They can re-nominate their candidacy in the next elections of the 10th CME (2024-2025) in October. If they are currently in CM2 and they go to college, they will no longer be able to apply to the CME but to the Youth Council, the instance for young middle school students aged 11 to 15, still in October.

After the plenary session was closed, the mayor presented each member of the CME with a diploma.

Young elected officials, see you next year for new civic adventures!
