PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS – Top 5 goal. Like China in Beijing in 2008 or Great Britain in London in 2012, France wants to shine for its Olympic Games. Emmanuel Macron has set the bar very high for a delegation that finished in a very average eighth place in the medal rankings at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
In the Japanese capital, the Blues had won 33 podiums including ten Olympic titles. Three years later, it would take more to overtake the Netherlands and Australia and get closer to the 22 titles won by British athletes.
But the mission is not impossible. And it is not only because it is a wish of the President of the Republic. The projections made at the beginning of 2024 by Le HuffPost based on the results obtained in 2023 confirmed the full potential of French sport.
