A 26-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday, June 30 in Toulouse. Drunk, he had harassed and assaulted a young girl sitting at a table outside a fast-food restaurant on Place du Capitole.

It was there that an intruder tried to attract her attention so insistently that he sat down with her. She did her best to ignore the solicitations of this visibly drunk man.

The 23-year-old girl’s disinterest annoyed the 26-year-old boy. Angry, he started to make the tables and chairs fly from the terrace. When the victim’s friend arrived with his tray, he made it fly in turn.
Then he grabbed the girl by the neck and threw her to the ground, head first. The police intervened to put an end to the violence. The man was arrested. He had a blood alcohol level of 2.20 grams per liter.
Placed in police custody, he admitted the facts while minimizing them. On Monday, his police custody was extended.
