It is difficult to estimate the immense crowd that there was on the 1stis July at the Edwin Bélanger kiosk on the Plains of Abraham to welcome the big winner of the second edition of Canada’s Got Talent. “Jeanick Fournier”.

Jeanick started with a piece from her album: Dérange-moi. Very elegant, in her pink outfit, she was accompanied by 2 backing singers and 4 musicians.

Music for all tastes

Jeanick gave a show of one hour and a half without intermission. She did a medley of Ginette Reno and one of Jean-Pierre Ferland. She sang “I’ll never love again,” a song that reminds her of the return trip to Las Vegas.

With her backing singer, Caroline Royer, she sang Paris. Everyone stood up for “I’m Alive” and people danced. Then the timeless songs: Show Must Go On, Les Champs-Élysées, and 2 little bits of songs from Barbie Girl and Wanna Be were able to transport us elsewhere.

Jeanick brought her two adopted children who suffer from Down syndrome on stage for 2-3 songs. We could hear Yoan, 14 years old, on drums, very good beat, he is really amazing. Emma with her microphone accompanied Jeanick to the song. She sang the magnificent song “I lead them for you” a song that says that all the battles she leads it is by thinking of her children that she does it.

When she sang alive, people turned on their cell phones and as an encore, everything was lit up for “I surrender.” It was beautiful.

Immersive Laser

After Jeanick’s show, we had a new experience with the immersive laser. 15 minutes of pure happiness with electro music to accompany the magnificent colors of the laser projections.
