If we are to believe the ‘scoop’ revealed to us this Monday evening 1is July 2024, our friend Jean Louis Bernardelli, who was for a long time the editor-in-chief of the motorcycle section at AutoNewsInfo… the multiple F1 world champion and current Mercedes driver but who will join the prestigious Scuderia Ferrari next season, the Briton Lewis Hamilton would be on the verge of buying the Gresini team in Moto GP!

‘Loulou’ has been his nickname in the industry for decades,’ he explains:
“Lewis, he dreams of buying a MotoGP team and we saw his businessmen in Assen. His goal is the Italian team Gresini, which will have Alex Marquez riding again in 2025 (See link).

Naturally the team denied the information but Nadia Padovani is fighting so hard for the survival of her team (recruiting Marc Marquez in 2024 is still a huge feat) that she may see the safeguarding of her team in this offer. What’s more, we know that Liberty Media, future main shareholder of Dorna, the promoter of MotoGP (not yet accepted by the anti-trust authorities) loves this kind of socializing that accompanies its F1 in triumph mode, Lewis’s move to the boss of Gresini would be a very big publicity stunt for MotoGP!
