Rocket agree to terms on one-year, one-way contracts with forwards Vincent Arseneau and Laurent Dauphin, defensemen Joshua Jacobs, Vincent Sévigny and Tyler Wotherspoon and to terms on one-year, two-way contract with goaltender Hunter Jones

The Laval Rocket announced Monday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year contract (2024-2025 – AHL, one-way) with forwards Vincent Arseneau and Laurent Dauphin, defensemen Joshua Jacobs, Vincent Sévigny and Tyler Wotherspoon and terms on a one-year contract (2024-2025 – AHL, two-way) with goaltender Hunter Jones.

Aged 32, Arseneauthe 6-foot-2, 216-pound left-hander, had six goals and three assists in 44 games last season with the Providence Bruins of the AHL.

Aged 29, Dauphinthe 6’0″, 185 lb left-hander, had 16 goals and 22 assists in 44 games last season with HC Ambrì-Piotta (Switzerland). The forward will return to the Rocket, having played 64 games with the Laval team over three seasons (2019-2020 to 2021-2022).

Originally from Repentigny, Dauphin was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the second round (39e overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Aged 28, Jacobsthe 6-foot-2, 220-pound right-hander, had four goals and six assists in 43 games with the Colorado Eagles of the AHL during the 2022-23 season.

Originaire de Shelby Township au Michigan, Jacobs was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the second round (41e overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Aged 23, Sévignythe 6-foot-3, 194-pound left-hander, had one goal and four assists in 33 games last season with the Bridgeport Islanders of the AHL.

Aged 31, Wotherspoonthe 6-foot-2, 207-pound left-hander, had four goals and 18 assists in 65 games last season with the AHL’s Utica Comets.

Originally from Burnaby, British Columbia, Wotherspoon was selected by the Calgary Flames in the second round (57e overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Aged 23, Jonesthe 6-foot-5, 209-pound left-hander, had a 3.61 goals-against average and .890 save percentage in 18 games last season with the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL.

Originally from Brantford, Ontario, Jones was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the second round (59e overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
