The “Apéros Coch'” are making a big comeback on board the Miredames.
Embark on a friendly aperitif along the water, every Wednesday from July 10 to August 28 at 7 p.m., and savor matured cheeses and local charcuterie, all accompanied by perfectly matched wines or beers (alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, consume in moderation). “A gastronomic experience under the Tarn sun, surrounded by laughter and discoveries. Ready for this gourmet adventure?” suggests the town hall of Castres, which describes what awaits travelers.
Round trip to Gourjade
“From the town centre pier, after passing under the Miredames bridge, you gently go up the green loops of the Agout to reach, 20 minutes later, the Gourjade park, a vast natural space dedicated to walking and leisure. On the way back, the water coach offers you an incomparable view of the famous multi-coloured wooden houses, which have made Castres famous. Preserved and magnificently restored, these former tanners’ and weavers’ workshops in past centuries, today give the town its character.”
For the rest of the practical information, here is what you need to know: duration 1 hour, price €20 per person, children not allowed, 40 people maximum and registration closes the day before at 12 noon.
