Coke? Perrier? Too sweet cocktail? When you don't drink alcohol, the alternatives in Parisian restaurants are often not the craziest. However, alcohol-free products are booming and the range on offer is diversifying: alcohol-free beers, low-sugar craft soft drinks, dealcoholized wines, etc. So, where should you sit to benefit from it?
Answer with the brand new guide Paris sans alcool friendlysigned by Raphaële Bortolin, the brilliant creator of the media Les Pépites du 19e and by the team at Le Paon qui boit (the cellar specializing in alcohol-free products in Paris). Among the hundred addresses tested and referenced in Paris, several are located in the 20th arrondissement. We reveal them to you exclusively. (Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments of other addresses that would deserve to join this list!).
1/ The Café des Délices. “Excellent homemade ginger beer, Archipel kombuchas served on tap, a craft non-alcoholic beer… or even non-alcoholic cocktails, prepared with a homemade tonic!”. 20, rue Lemon.
2/ Musa Belleville. “We share plates of mezze, washed down with cocktails concocted with seasonal products, four recipes prepared from free spirits to imitate gin, amaretti and Spritz, but also the pale ale <0.5%, brewed in Paris by BAPBAP, as well as a 0% Sassy cider.” 82, boulevard de Belleville.
3/ The Roof by La Bellevilloise. “The team at the legendary venue, which boasts its avant-garde spirit, has integrated alcohol-free food into the menu. There are two cocktails made with JNPR aperitifs, Bang Bang beer from BAPBAP, and a nice selection of artisanal, slightly sweet soft drinks.” 19-21, rue Boyer.
4/ Babel. “Non-alcoholic cocktails offer an exotic change of scenery with recipes like the Pompei (tamarind, vanilla, lime, tabasco) and the Assam (coconut cream, red shrub fruit, lime). Guaranteed escape.” 3, rue Lemon.
5/ Kalank.”Because sunny recipes often mean a glass of chilled rosé, Patrick had the good idea to offer the 0% Nooh sparkling rosé from Château La Coste on the menu. All that’s missing is the song of the cicadas and it feels like it!” 52, boulevard de Charonne.
