It was finally SC Bastia who won the race for the high-potential midfielder Loïc Etoga. The midfielder, who had previously played for Dijon in the National, had nothing left to prove at this level of the competition.
Despite requests from multiple top-flight clubs, he preferred to gradually climb the ladder. By choosing SC Bastia, he thus prioritized his progression. It was the club that announced his signing after they agreed for two seasons in addition to an option year.
He was trained at AS International Football Academy in Yaoundé. Last season, he played in the National with Dijon (19 matches, 1 goal) and was one of the revelations of the National championship.
The youngster, who is just 21 years old, still has a huge margin for improvement. Loïc Etoga should also have a big season with SC Bastia this season.
