The French team knows its opponent for the quarter-finals of Euro 2024. Didier Deschamps’ players, who qualified for the next round thanks to their victory against Belgium (1-0), will challenge Portugal in the next round.
The match will be played on Friday.
For their part, Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammates defeated Slovenia, not without difficulty (0-0, 3-0 on penalties). This match inevitably brings to mind the Euro 2016 final, lost by Les Bleus after extra time (1-0). It will also lead to a fraternal duel between Kylian Mbappé and Cristiano Ronaldo, the two respective captains of their selection, who appreciate each other enormously.
The date of this quarter-final between France and Portugal is also known. This duel between the French and the Lusitanians will be played this Friday, July 5, at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg.
