Quebec forward David Perron will continue his career in Ottawa. The Senators announced they have signed the forward to a two-year, $8 million ($4 million/season) contract on Monday.

Perron, 36, had 47 points (17 goals, 30 assists) in 76 games with the Detroit Red Wings last season. He was an unrestricted free agent.

Selected by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (26th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Perron has 768 points (310 goals, 458 assists) in 1,131 regular-season games with the Red Wings, Blues, Vegas Golden Knights, Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Edmonton Oilers. He added 61 points (24 goals, 37 assists) in 104 Stanley Cup Playoff games, winning the coveted trophy with the Blues in 2019.

Minutes later, the Senators signed forward Noah Gregor to a one-year, $850,000 deal. Last season, he had 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 63 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Ottawa also agreed to terms with forward Michael Amadio on a three-year contract with an average annual value of $2.6 million. Amadio played five games with the Senators during the 2020-21 season.

The 28-year-old forward had 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 73 regular-season games with the Vegas Golden Knights last season and two points (one goal, one assist) in four Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round (90th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Amadio has 112 points (57 goals, 55 assists) in 369 regular-season games with the Golden Knights, Toronto Maple Leafs, Senators and Kings, and 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 21 playoff games.

Amadio won the Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights in 2023.
