For several years now, TéFéCé, or Toulouse FC for those who don’t (yet) have the reference, has had the secret of a playful and always very well-oiled communication. As they have just proven today, they are not about to stop there. For the announcement of the club’s new jersey, under the banner of the Nike equipment supplier for the first time in the club’s history, TFC saw things in a big way with an advertising spot and an announcement of the big evenings, on TF1, just before the round of 16 between France and Belgium.
To unveil this unique collaboration and reveal the new outfit for the upcoming season, TéFéCé has produced a bold advertising spot, accompanied by a prestigious cast that draws on several emblematic figures of Toulouse football and sport. It features world champion Fabien Barthez, Stade Toulousain players Thomas Ramos, Rodrigue Néti and Matthis Lebel, and of course, players from the club, including Guillaume Restes, the Toulouse goalkeeper and great French hope.
“Broadcast in two versions – a short one of 30 seconds and a more extensive version of 1 minute 30 – this film pays tribute to the DNA of the club, to Occitanie, to the city of Toulouse and the entire Viola community. And above all, it is intended to be a strong nod to the legendary Nike advertising sagas”the club said.
This way of communicating is a conscious decision that has been made for several years and which works every time. “To win back Toulouse, we focused a lot on communication […]. Today, in our communication, we are often deliberately out of step with what is normally done in football. We want to be humorous, joking, which allows us to stand out from the crowd, to be even more attractive and to welcome more and more spectators to the Stadium,” confided the president of the club, Damien Comolli in 2020.
The Toulouse FC home jersey is available on its official website, and on its online store, from July 1 at 6 p.m., as well as at 54 rue de Rémusat (Toulouse), from 8 p.m., for a late night exceptional.
