Alexandre Barré-Boulet realizes his dream and signs with the Montreal Canadiens

Alexandre Barré-Boulet realizes his dream and signs with the Montreal Canadiens for one year and $775,000 guaranteed, even if he plays with the Laval Rocket.

The Quebecer, who only traveled between Syracuse and Tampa Bay, will at least be able to console himself with the knowledge that the Montreal-Laval trip is shorter.

It is in this spirit that the Quebec striker dreamed of organizing the Montreal Canadiens.

Jon Cooper gives him some advice before he tries to get a job with the Montreal Canadiens.

“For him, it is not enough to score goals or prepare them. He has to be responsible because he will be facing very good players at one point or another.”

“Alex has shown that he can be used in several situations. That’s why he will have his chance in Montreal.”

Barré-Boulet is excited to return to Quebec.

“I’ve been around a lot. If they need me on the fourth line, I’m ready to play with anybody. If they need me on the first line, I’m capable of doing the job. It’s to my advantage to be able to play with anybody.”

In Montreal, it’s “make or break” for Barré-Boulet this year. Jon Cooper says he must take inspiration from Yanni Gourde.

“Nikita Kucherov came here and stayed. Brayden Point came here and stayed. They are special players. With BB, it’s a process. I come back to Yanni Gourde. It took him a few reminders to establish himself, and we’re hoping that’s what happens with Alex.”

“By playing in the NHL, you realize things, you gain experience and you adapt to the speed. Once you have all that, you still have to prove that you can stay in the League. Yanni is the perfect example of that, and we hope BB follows in his footsteps.”

The only one who is sweating at the moment is Rafaël Harvey-Pinard. Barré-Boulet could crush it. He is much more talented.
