Due to the yellow vigilance of the Cèze, the Gard Departmental Council took the decision to temporarily close the Chamborigaud bridge and not to take any risks.
The Gard Departmental Council informs of the preventive closure of the temporary Chamborigaud bridge, on the RD 906, this Monday, November 25, 2024, from 7 p.m., following the yellow alert for the Cèze flood expected this night in Gard. The reopening of the temporary bridge is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26 in the morning depending on the decline of the Cèze if weather conditions permit.
Two diversions will be put in place: for light vehicles, via Peyremale (RD29 and RD17) to Génolhac and for heavy goods vehicles, via the RD904 to Saint-Ambroix, and the Ardèche via Saint-Paul-le-Jeune to in Villefort.
In addition to that of Chamborigaud, the Department has decided to close four submersible bridges this evening from 7:00 p.m.:
RD386 Pont du Grand Tournant in Peyremale, local diversion will be put in place.
RD187C Bridge over the Cèze at Rochegude, detour via the Tharaux bridge.
RD187A Bridge over the Cèze in Rivières, from 9 p.m., detour via the Tharaux bridge.
Reopenings Tuesday morning if possible depending on the recession. Note that the RD135 in Aubord has been reopened since 4:30 p.m.
