Hatley Celebrates Canada Day for 114th Year

One of the oldest Canada Day celebrations is Hatley. The event is in its 114th edition.

Canada Day festivities will be held throughout the day in this municipality.

We’ll be at 100 rue Maine in Hatley. It’s really in the heart of the village!

A quote from Shelby Drew, Organizing Committee Member

We have a full schedule for the dayexplains Shelby Drew, of the organizing committee.

Festivities schedule

10 a.m.: Kiosks open

11:30 a.m.: Soap box race

12 p.m.: Opening of the children’s area

14 h : Parade

9:15 p.m.: Cinema park

For children, a DIY workshop, a makeup station and inflatable games are offered. A meal will also be offered at the Hatley community hall.

This activity is done for us, explains Shelby Drew. It’s like a neighbor’s party and everyone enjoys spending a day together. We try to make it accessible to people of all ages. We want everyone to have fun and people’s support ensures that the party continues!

Two parking lots outside the village can be used by visitors. A shuttle provides transportation between these parking lots and the village between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Festivities resume in Magog
