This is the fourth hearing since his arrest in a similar case, but much more publicized due to the family of the deceased, Réda Faras. He was the husband of the singer Rym Fikri. But the case is still under investigation.
The case in which Réda Abakrim, alias “Turbo”, is called to appear before the magistrates of the Court of Appeal of Casablanca concerns facts of “kidnapping“, “sequestration” et “murder with premeditation“. It concerns three other accomplices, knowing that the events took place in 2007, in France.
In Morocco, the first instance judgment was favorable to Réda Abakrim, since he was acquitted, even though he had been sentenced in absentia, in France, to twenty years’ imprisonment.
