After being relegated to Ligue 2, the Messins must react during the next Mercato, both in terms of arrivals and departures. Coach Laszlo Bolöni seems good at the start, and he might not be the only one packing his suitcase.

Two unwanted people about to leave the club

Initially, the 26-year-old center forward, Benjamin Tetteh, could play for another club next season. The attacker has played very little this season under the colors of the Garnets. With 12 matches played, Tetteh was not decisive and was not even in the squad during the last 12 Ligue 1 matches. Arrived at the club last summer fromHull City, The Ghanaian disappointed the Messine management who do not want to keep him with a view to next season.

The second player affected by this “major clean-up of the Grenats’ squad” is Joel Asaro. The Swedish striker has had more playing time than Benjamin Tetteh but still didn’t have a great season. 10 times starting in Ligue 1, the former Swansea player was only decisive 4 times (2 goals and 2 assists), far from Laszlo Bolöni’s hopes.

Both seem to have been impacted by the arrival of Georges Mikautadze who literally shone and transformed the Grenats’ offensive sector. It remains to be seen whether they can bounce back in another club.
