ASM officials are still working to finalize the file for the Espoirs and Crabos coaches, in order to replace Cyril Chirier and Xavier Sadourny. For the first position, François Gelez, former player and coach of Agen, seems the most serious option.

After the track leading to Anthony Floch, who declined Clermont’s offer to support Elvis Vermeulen with the Espoirs, to finally stay at the MHR (deputy manager of the training center), other options are still being studied while the Resumption of training is scheduled for July 15.

Gelez’s solid experience

A name comes up insistently for this position to be filled quickly, it is the former international fly-half (8 selections) of Agen, François Gelez (45 years old), who announced a few days ago his departure from the staff of Tyrosse in Federal 1.

Samuel Ezeala claimed 680,000 euros from ASM Clermont, the industrial tribunal decided otherwise

Since 2009, François Gelez has built an interesting experience as a coach. He was coach of the Espoirs d’Agen, assistant to the USAP (ProD2) and had experiences with the Algerian national team and the French U18 team.

Also in the pipeline, undoubtedly to coach the Crabos in place of Sadourny, the former Aurillac fullback (and winger), Jean-François Viars, brother of Sébastien, former ASM player.

Currently a health prevention trainer, this former player (49 years old), who played for Brive and Bayonne, has already trained Mauriac and Rodez, between 2013 and 2017.
