Before the tests of I of Paris 2024 and even before knowing all the names of the athletes who will defend the colors of their country, the Olympic flame and his convoy pass through the departments of France. The 7 stages of the North

For each stage, the flame follows a very specific route. In the cities, traffic and parking restrictions are put in place for the occasion, sometimes the day before, or even earlier. The big day will be marked by events in the cities, initiated by local sports clubs.

For the northern stage, the festivities will end in Lille. Here are the essentials to keep in mind, for each stage:

  1. 8:25 a.m.-8:45 a.m.: the Olympic flame in Avesnes-sur-Helpe, first northern stage
    The day will open in Avesnes-sur-Helpe, with the passage of the Olympic flame early in the morning. Activities are planned throughout the day in the town. Details.
  2. 9:17 a.m.-10:20 a.m.: the Olympic flame Dunkirk

For this stage, many local personalities will carry the famous flame. In Lille, Miss France and Raphaël Varane are among the lucky ones chosen for this prestigious mission.
