A crime against a backdrop of debt and resentment. Sunday November 24, 2024, a 77-year-old man was indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention after shooting dead one of his acquaintances in a McDonald's in Paris last Friday, the prosecution tells us.
A bullet in the face
The events took place around noon, in the fast food establishment located boulevard Ornano, in the 19th arrondissement. The victim, a 60-year-old man, was shot and killed at the scene after being shot in the face. After the crime, the shooter remained on site and allowed himself to be arrested by the police without putting up any resistance. The latter was unknown to the police until now.
A dispute over money
The causes of the murder remain to be determined, but according to a source, the two men had known each other for a long time. The latter were in conflict over a debt issue. According to this same source, the accused indicated having been threatened by the victim before the events.
