Philip Nakosi is a Vannetais !

The Rugby Club Vannes is pleased to formalize the signing of Philip I lied for the next two seasons.

The Fijian winger (1.83m, 32 years old) arrives from Castres and is committed to RCV until 2026.

After starting rugby in Fiji, he joined New Zealand, at 21, and the NPC championship with the province of Northland.

In October 2015, he discovered France by signing for Agen as a medical joker. After three remarkable seasons at SUA, he defended the colors of RC Toulon during the 2018-19 season. He scored 10 tries in 18 matches with the Var club.

The following season, he joined Tarn and Castres Olympique, fully participating in the club’s good performances. In 2022, he played in the Top 14 final, as a starter, during which Castres lost to Montpellier. In five seasons with the CO, he scored a total of 24 tries in 97 matches.

Filipo Nakosi also played in the 2019 World Cup in Japan with Fiji. During this edition, the Flying Fijians won only one match, against Georgia, and were eliminated in the group stage.

At 32, Filipo has chosen to give new impetus to his career by taking on this new challenge with RC Vannes.

Welcome to Brittany Filipo!
