The results of the first round of the early legislative elections, this Sunday, June 30, 2024, give Pierre Vaugarny (RN) at the head of the 5th constituency of Sarthe. Jean-Carles Grelier (Ensemble!) and Christophe Rouillon (NFP) are also qualified for the second round. But the latter withdraws and calls for a barrier to the RN.

In the 5e constituency of Sarthe, candidate Pierre Vaugarny (National Rally) came out on top in the first round of early legislative elections, this Sunday, June 30, 2024, with 38.23%. Outgoing MP Jean-Carles Grelier (presidential majority Ensemble!) won 31.28% of the votes cast.

Christophe Rouillon, candidate of the New Popular Front, obtains 26.67% but announces his withdrawal from the election. He calls for voting for Jean-Carles Grelier in the second round to block the National Rally.

As a reminder, in the first round of the 2022 legislative elections, Jean-Carles Grelier was credited with 33.73% of the vote, the RN candidate Victoria de Vigneral (Pierre Vaugarny’s substitute) with 22.74%. Rabbi Kokolo, candidate of the left-wing alliance at the time (Nupes), came 3e with a score of 19.75%.
