At 3:58 p.m., the operator announced the gradual resumption of traffic after the incident was resolved. However, “train cancellations are expected in order to regulate traffic,” Transkéo warns.

The week does not start very well for users of the Tram T12 in Essonne. This Monday, July 1, 2024, the traffic East interrupted in between Massy-Palaiseau et Epinay-sur-Orge in the both directions traffic due to a dysfunction au Railroad Crossing of Petit-Vaux.

Trams run between Epinay and Évry while waiting for the resumption scheduled for 5 p.m.

According to the line operator Transkeo, the traffic should resume at 5 p.m.on this portion of the line where the tram-trains run on the national rail network which was previously used by the RER C.

In the meantime, the tram-trains on the line will not travel only between Epinay-sur-Orge and Évry-Courcouronnes in both ways.

Alternative routes exist

Travelers can go to Epinay-sur-Orge station located 10 minutes walk from Petit Vaux, via rue de Grand Vaux and rue du Chemin Vert.

To reach Longjumeau, it is possible to take the bus line 107 (via Massy-Palaiseau or Epinay-sur-Orge). To go to Chilly-Mazarin, simply take bus line 297 (via Chemin-d’Antony).

Another possibility is to borrow the RER B which serves Gare-du-Nord, Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Antony (OrlyVal for Orly Airport, and bus 297 from/to Chemin-d’Antony) as well as the stations of Massy-Verrières and Massy- Palaiseau.
