The common lab will be composed of 5 spaces with both distinct and permeable functionalities.

  • The “exhibition” space

Open this summer, it will initially host the NANOmusée, a traveling museum that presents research work through art. This facility offers visitors the opportunity to discover the theme of Sustainable and Intelligent Urban Coastline, a specialization of the University, through sculptures, drawings, videos and sound works. Under this vault of the former Encan fish market, and in dialogue with one of the works of the NANOmusée, a focus will be offered on the activities of the Pelagis marine mammal and bird observatory.

Next to this “exhibition” space, a café-boutique will allow visitors to relax and chat informally. They will also be able to read a selection of works by University scientists while drinking coffee.

From September, 3 other spaces will be created:

  • The “manufacturing” space

Made up of a medialab and a fablab, it will offer different equipment: 3D printers, laser cutter, digital embroiderer, heat press and all the media equipment necessary to carry out projects for the dissemination of knowledge.

This space will be the ideal place to organize meetings, workshops or training courses for the University and its partners.

The venue will also house the offices of the team managing the venue, its programming and its mediation.
