The firefighters had to intervene this Monday, July 1 in Riorges to contain the fire which, after having ravaged a garage, threatened a house.

16 firefighters from the Roanne barracks were called, this Monday, July 1, shortly before 8 a.m., for a fire which had just broken out in the garage of a house, rue Vincent de Paul, in a residential area of ​​Riorges.

An adjoining house threatened by flames

When they arrived, firefighters found the owners outside the home, unharmed, and the garage completely engulfed in flames. A vehicle and gas cylinders were inside, forcing firefighters to use two hoses to put out the blaze. The objective was to act quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to another house adjoining the garage.16 firefighters from the Roanne barracks intervened to contain the fire.

The fire was finally quickly contained, although the firefighters proceeded to remove the tiles from the adjoining house to ensure that the fire was not smouldering under the roof.

Electricity and gas were cut off in the area during the rescue operation. Police officers from the Roanne police station were also present on site.
