Saint-Pascal is inaugurating new charging stations for electric vehicles, thus reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility. The three terminals are located in the Chanoine-Baudet high school parking lot and at the Sports Center.

These infrastructures make it possible to charge six electric vehicles simultaneously, a step forward in encouraging the use of electric vehicles in the region, thus contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The project was made possible by Hydro-Québec’s Electric Circuit’s 4,500 Stations grant program, which aims to increase the number of charging stations accessible to the public across the province. This program supports municipalities in their efforts to promote electric mobility, meeting the needs of residents and visitors alike.

“We are happy with the collaboration with the Kamouraska–Rivière-du-Loup School Services Center, which played a key role in the completion of this project,” comments Solange Morneau, the mayor of Saint-Pascal. “It is crucial for our municipal council to support the growth of electric vehicles and to provide infrastructure adapted to our community and visitors. Electric cars will become more and more common in our local vehicle fleet, as is the case everywhere in Quebec. We must be ready to welcome them and we are happy to be able to offer these new facilities to our citizens. »

These facilities are not only an asset to residents, but also increase the city’s appeal to visitors who use electric vehicles, providing a convenient charging option during their stay.

The installation of these terminals is part of a series of ecological initiatives undertaken by the city to improve the quality of life of its residents while protecting the environment.
